FREY ANGUS RANCH

Hello and Welcome to our 33rd Annual Bull Sale

"THE BRAND OF PERFORMANCE"

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 2008 1 p.m.

Our operation has been involved with Angus Cattle for nearly 60 years and was initially started by Allen Frey and operated with his sons until his retirement.   FREY ANGUS RANCH is presently owned and operated by Lynn, Arlen and Edward Frey.  The sale date of Monday, February 11, will follow the Schaff Angus Valley Sale and will again feature both Angus and Red Angus cattle.

A large part of the black bulls will be sired by FAR KRUGERRAND 410H, the 2002 National Western Champion Angus Bull. They will be sired by 410H and sons of 410H and many out of daughters of 410H as well.  410H is an International recognized sire seeing use in Canada, England, Scotland, Australia and South America.  410H will continue to be a feature sire at Frey Angus Ranch as he continues to rank at the top of the breed in all categories with exceptional high feedlot and beef dollar values.  MAR Midland Empire 3092, the $40,000 2004 Midland Bull Test top seller, is also seeing use as a herd sire due to his tremendous daughters and exceptional carcass data and high $ beef values.  In addition to this outcross sire, Frey Angus Ranch has introduced new herd sires such as Connealy Kaboom 7354 and Mytty In Focus.  Both sires have tremendous sire groups in the offering.

In addition to a solid set of yearling bulls, Frey Angus Ranch will offer 19 younger two-year old bulls from the 2006 calf crop and 13 fall born bulls from 2006.  These older bulls will definitely be hi lites of the 2008 sale season.

The performance in this offering is second to none.  An average bull in this sale will have a birth weight of 82 lbs, an adjusted weaning weight of 743 lbs, an average daily gain over 3 lbs and a projected yearling weight of 1225 lbs.  His EPD for birth will be +3.0, EPD for weaning at +51, EPD for milk at +18, EPD for combined maternal of +43 and yearling EPD of +94.  His birth weight will be near breed average with his growth EPDS ranking in the top 15% of the breed.  You will appreciate the look that only a Frey bull can give you as well as his temperament and ease of fleshing.

In addition to this exceptional performance the bull(s) will be delivered to your ranch after April 1 at mp cjarge fpr feed amd delivery.  A guarantee for a breeding injury through his first breeding season will also accompany this bull, in addition to current carcass information obtained by ultrasound.  Most importantly, he will work because he is bred and developed to do so.  But above all else, you will continue to find the FAR Bulls affordable; they will be some of the best values of this 2008 sale season. the breed.

Many of the cattle selling offer new genetics for our past customers as well as the breed in general. We sincerely feel these sires and herd sire prospects continue to represent cattle with an acceptable combination of traits to meet the demands of both commercial and purebred breeders alike.  As a breeder of Angus Cattle for nearly 60 years, we have never elected to sacrifice size and natural thickness for increased milk production.  Nor have we sacrificed milk production, soundness and natural thickness for increased frame size and growth.

Most recently we have avoided the selection for calving ease only at the expense of fertility and growth.  We have strived to select and produce cattle that are competitive and acceptable in size, correct in structure, sound in their movement, functional on the range, in the feedlot and desirable as an end product for the consumer. Cattle that calve easy, breed back quickly, milk, grow and produce a carcass of high quality and value.  Cattle that work for us in order that they will work for our customers.

We sincerely, invite you to check out the difference at FREY ANGUS RANCH.  The difference is in the PEOPLE, the CATTLE, and the PROGRAM.  Let these differences become an ADVANTAGE  to you in your program.  Whether you've been a longtime customer or a prospective buyer, we feel you will find cattle that can and will make a difference for you.  We are looking forward to seeing you on our sale day.  Please do not hesitate to call us beforehand if we can be of any assistance.
